Inside RealFoods
We stripped away everything that makes traditional dieting miserable. No barcodes, no measuring cups, no streaks. Just a few simple features designed to change how you see your food.
1. The Metabolic Timeline
Most apps show you what you ate. The Metabolic Timeline shows you what your body is doing about it, right now.
Your homescreen maps your whole day, from your first coffee to your last bite, between three states: Burning fat, Neutral, and Keeping fat. Every meal you log moves the curve. A meal that spikes your insulin pushes you up toward Keeping, then the curve settles back into Burning as your body calms down.
One glance answers the only question that matters: is my body burning fat or storing it? And it models all of this from what and when you eat. No CGM, no patch, no breath device, just your meals.
2. AI Photo Scanning
Logging your food shouldn't feel like a part-time job. With RealFoods, you don't have to search a database for "medium banana" or weigh your chicken breast.
You just point your camera and snap a photo.
Our AI recognizes the meal instantly, estimates the nutritional profile, and, most importantly, understands how that specific combination of ingredients will affect your body. It takes 3 seconds, meaning you can actually stick with it long-term.
3. The Weight Impact (WI) Score
Calories only tell you how much energy is in a food. They don't tell you how your body will process that energy.
A 200-calorie soda and 200 calories of almonds have completely different effects on your hormones. The soda spikes your blood sugar and triggers fat storage. The almonds keep your energy steady.
The Weight Impact (WI) Score replaces calorie counting by giving every meal a simple, honest score from 1 to 10:
- Scores 1-3: Fat loss friendly. Keeps your hormones stable.
- Scores 4-6: Moderate impact. Best paired with protein or a walk.
- Scores 7-10: Fat storing. High likelihood of insulin spikes and subsequent crashes.
Ready to stop guessing what to eat?
4. Daily & Weekly Journals
Traditional apps use red numbers and broken "streaks" to guilt you into submission. RealFoods uses intelligence to guide you.
At the end of each day, instead of just staring at a spreadsheet of macros, you get a personalized Daily Journal. It highlights what worked, explains why certain cravings hit when they did, and offers one specific, easy adjustment for tomorrow.
It feels less like a calculator and more like a supportive partner helping you build habits that actually stick.
